SBI magnum fund lowered the bet to 1.54% in Colgate-Palmolive | Mar’20 qtr

The oral care company, Colgate Palmolive Limited, has become a household name in India. It is under the parent organization – Colgate Palmolive (USA). In both the quarters of December 2019 and March 2020, the holding through the public category was 49.00% and that through the promoter and promoter group was 51.00%. Comparison of public shareholding patterns for the mentioned quarters, shows following changes:

Increase in shareholding % – Alternate Investment Funds reported a rise from 0.24% to 0.28%. Financial Institutions/ Banks incremented their stakes from 0.17% to 0.27%. Insurance Companies grew the bet from 4.74% to 5.76%. Life Insurance Corporation Of India extended the holdings from 2.99% to 3.16%. The shareholders having Individual share capital up to Rs. 2 Lacs from 1,82,206 to 2,02,105 and the values climbed up from 18.63% to 18.85%. Nps Trust- A/C Uti Retirement Solutions Pension Fund Scheme – State Govt rose from 1.12% to 1.32%. The Clearing Members doubled the parts from 0.11% to 0.22%. The Bodies Corporate up-stepped from 1.06% to 1.08%.

Decrease in shareholding % – The collective holdings of the Mutual Funds reduced from 5.05% to 3.66%. SBI Magnum Global Fund lowered the value from 1.98% to 1.54%. Foreign Portfolio Investors appeared with a decrease from 16.49% to 16.19%. Non-Resident Indians (NRI) down-stepped the parts from 0.66% to 0.63%.

Unaltered shareholding % – Foreign Bank at 0.00%, UTI at 0.00%, Central Government/ State Government(s)/ President of India at 0.20%, IEPF at 0.11% and HUF at 0.38% maintained identical holdings in both the quarters of Dec’19 and Mar’20.

The number of public shareholders enlarged from 1,93,784 to 1,93,784; and there were 3 promoters. Norwood International Incorporated, Colgate Palmolive (Asia) Pte Ltd and Colgate Palmolive Company are the part of the promoters group.
