Founded in 1925, Raymond Limited, had started as a textile company in India; it has now broadened to Raymond Group and is a well-known manufacturer in fashion and fabric industry. For both the quarters of December 2019 and March 2020, the company had 53.16% of the holdings through public and 46.73% through the promoters and their group. Comparison of the public shareholding patterns of the two consecutive quarters, shows following differences:
Increase in shareholding % – The Mutual Funds grew the stakes from 9.05% to 8.69%. Reliance Capital Trustee Co Ltd-A/C Nippon India Small Cap Fund developed the bet from 2.20% to 2.60%. Sundaram Mutual Fund A/C Sundaram Small Cap Fund upgraded the parts from 1.04% to 1.07%. Government Pension Fund Global incremented the holding from 1.79% to 2.31%. Financial Institutions/ Banks up-stepped their stakes from 0.39% to 0.40%. Individuals having share capital up to Rs. 2 Lacs expanded their bet from 17.10% to 18.67%; the number of these shareholders rose from 1,04,772 to 1,13,447. HUF improved from 0.69% to 0.73%. Non-Resident Indians (NRI) rose from 1.48% to 1.50%. Clearing Members nearly doubled their value from 0.31% to 0.67%.
Decrease in shareholding % – Foreign Portfolio Investors appeared with a reduction 10.98% to 10.85%. Individuals with share capital in excess of Rs. 2 Lacs decremented the bet from 7.07% to 6.52%. Govindlal Gilada lowered the parts from 1.44% to 1.39%. NBFCs registered with RBI minimized from 0.05% to 0.00%. Bodies Corporate contracted their stakes from 3.98% to 3.10%.
Unaltered shareholding % – Mirae Asset Emerging Bluechip Fund at 4.74%, Vespera Fund Limited at 1.53%, Mirae Asset India Mid Cap Equity Fund at 1.30%, Insurance Companies at 1.45%, UTI at 0.00%, Central Government/ State Government(s)/ President of India at 0.00%, IEPF 0.62% and trusts at 0.01% held unaltered percentages in Mar’20.
The number of public category shareholders widened from 1,09,934 to 1,18,655. Number of promoters and groups was stable at 13 in both the quarters.
