The broadcast company, TV18, manages operations for the Indian consumers of NBC Universal network. In both the quarters of December 2019 and March 2020, the public held about 39.60% of the total shareholding of the company and the promoters held about 60.40% of the same. Other internal differences in the public pattern of the two quarters, are as follows:
Increase in shareholding % – The Mutual Funds grew the values from 1.33% to 1.56%. Reliance Capital Trustee Co Ltd A/C Nippon India Mutual Funds, which held the majority in mutual funds, reported a similar growth (1.33% to 1.55%). For the Individuals with share capital in excess of Rs. 2 Lacs, the investments expanded from 5.90% to 6.22%. The Clearing Members extended their bet from 0.08% to 0.47%.
Decrease in shareholding % – The Foreign Portfolio Investors appeared with a reduction in their bet from 13.11% to 13.06%. Financial Institutions/ Banks lowered their stakes from 0.59% to 0.31%. For the Individuals with share capital up to Rs. 2 Lacs, holdings decremented from 7.78% to 7.73%. Rakesh Jhunjhunwala contracted his bet from 2.31% to 2.07%. Bodies Corporate lessened the parts from 8.11% to 7.78%. Non-Resident Indians (NRI) shrunk their stakes from 1.40% to 1.18%. HUF down-stepped from 0.68% to 0.67%.
Identical shareholding % in both the quarters – Government Pension Fund Global at 3.28%, East Bridge Capital Master Fund Limited at 1.64%, East Bridge Capital Master Fund (I) Limited at 1.36%, Central Government/ State Government(s)/ President of India at 0.52%, NBFCs registered with RBI at 0.00%, Bright Star Investments Private Limited at 1.03%, and Trusts at 0.08%.
Ohm Stock Broker Pvt Ltd might have entered as a new entity or have grown above 1.00% in March’20 to appear at 1.10%. The number of shareholder stretched a bit from 1,27,252 to 1,27,927.
