Mutual Funds held about 19.94% in RBL bank | Mar’20 qtr

Founded in the regions of Maharashtra as Ratnakar bank, the RBL bank has now broadened its network in the whole country. In both the quarters of December 2019 and March 2020, it had 100% of the holdings through the public shareholders. The internal fluctuations in the public shareholding pattern, are as follows:

Increase in shareholding % – The Mutual Funds incremented from 19.41% to 19.94%. Kotak Standard Multi cap Fund extended the parts from 3.27% to 3.68%. Uti – Equity Fund upgraded the bet from 1.27% to 1.32%. Alternate Investment Funds reported with a rise from 1.50% to 1.79%. Foreign Portfolio Investors appeared with an incrementation in value from 24.31% to 25.53%. Government Pension Fund Global rose from 2.40% to 2.79%. Theleme Master Fund Limited grew from 1.59% to 2.22%. Vanguard Total International Stock Index Fund expanded their stakes from 1.01% to 1.28%. WF Asian Reconnaissance Fund Limited elevated from 1.30% to 1.82%. Financial Institutions/ Banks stepped their holdings up by 0.03% – from 1.15% to 1.18%. HDFC Life Insurance Company Limited up-stepped from 2.11% to 2.12%. Central Government/ State Government(s)/ President of India increased their investment from 0.34% to 0.43%. The number of shareholders, who held Individual share capital up to Rs. 2 Lacs, enlarged from 1,82,097 to 1,97,755; their holdings rose from 9.84% to 10.09%. Trusts climbed up from 0.08% to 0.10%. Clearing Members almost doubled the bet from 0.74% to 1.55%.

Decrease in shareholding % – HDFC Trustee Company Ltd – A/C HDFC Mid Cap opportunities fund decremented the stakes from 3.02% to 2.98%. Reliance Capital Trustee Co Ltd-A/C Nippon India Banking Fund lowered the bet from 2.92% to 2.70%. Aditya Birla Sun Life Trustee Private Limited A/C Aditya Birla Sun Life Equity Fund sunk from 2.50% of the holdings to 1.34%. IDFC Sterling Value Fund reduced the value from 1.87% to 1.41%. Kotak Funds – India Mid cap Fund down-stepped from 1.56% to 1.51%. Insurance Companies lessened the holdings from 4.96% to 4.30%. The shareholders, who had Individual share capital in excess of Rs. 2 Lacs, contracted their parts from 10.42% to 9.15%. NBFCs registered with RBI minimized from 0.05% to 0.00%. HUF went from 0.36% to 0.47%. Director or Director’s Relatives decremented from 3.09% to 2.95%. Bodies Corporate decreased the bet from 7.65% to 6.70%.

Following shareholders had identical shareholding % in both the quarters – Ishana Capital Master Fund at 1.24%, HDFC Bank Ltd at 1.03%, Foreign Bank (Asian Development Bank) at 2.82%, IEPF at 0.03%, Asia Capital Financial Opportunities Pte Ltd at 1.89%, Galileo Investments Limited at 1.17%, Plenty Private Equity Fund I Limited at 1.12%, and Housing Development Finance Corporation Limited at 1.73%.

SBI Equity Hybrid Fund and Bajaj Allianz Life Insurance Company Ltd might have entered as new shareholders or have heightened above 1.00% in the March’20 quarter at 2.92% and 1.02% respectively. The public shareholders’ count soared from 1,94,231 to 2,08,045.
