The Indian based company- Hindustan Oil Exploration Company Limited, is working towards efficient exploration as well as production of certain natural resources like crude oil and natural gas. The company had 100% of its shares through the category of public shareholders, for both the quarters of December 2019 and March 2020. There were internal fluctuations in the values of public shareholding patterns of both the consecutive quarters. The differences are as follows:
Increase in shareholding % – The total holdings of Mutual Funds climbed up from 2.65% to 2.69%. The Kotak Small Cap Fund, which held the majority of the mutual funds grew with identical (2.65% to 2.69%) percentage. Alternate Investment Funds reported an extension in the bet from 0.08% to 0.42%. The number of shareholders (Individual share capital up to Rs. 2 Lacs) incremented from 61120 to 61417; along with the stakes increasing from 17.45% to 17.97%. HUF rose the bet from 1.19% to 1.42%. The Non-Resident Indians (NRI) grew their parts in the company from 1.36% to 1.55%. The Employees stepped up from 0.02% to 0.03%. The Bodies Corporate expanded the holdings from 33.88% to 35.31%.
Decrease in shareholding % – The Foreign Portfolio Investors decreased their bet from 8.81% to 7.60%. Fil Investments (Mauritius) Ltd stepped down from 3.28% to 3.27%. The Financial Institutions/ Banks reduced the parts from 0.35% to 0.22%. The count of shareholders investing with Individual share capital in excess of Rs. 2 Lacs lowered from 156 to 141 and the holdings lessened from 33.28% to 32.01%.
Unaltered shareholding % – Fidelity Funds – India Focus Fund at 1.29%, Central Government/ State Government(s)/ President of India at 0.00%, Ashok Kumar Goel at 13.96%, P Elango at 3.82%, Ramasamy Jeevanandam at 3.78%, Rohit Rajgopal Dhoot at 2.29%, NBFCs registered with RBI with 0.06%, IEPF at 0.57%, Trusts at 0.01%, Housing Development Finance Corporation Limited at 10.65%, LCI Estates LLP at 6.13%, Dhoot Industrial Finance Limited at 4.69%, Poddar Pigments Limited 3.78%, Vijai Shree Private Ltd at 3.49%, and Gks Logistics Private Limited at 1.74% held unaltered values in both the quarters of Dec’19 and Mar’20.
Fiam Emerging Markets All Cap Fund, LP might have existed or dipped below 1.00%, as it disappeared in March quarter; it was at 2.34% in December quarter. The number of public shareholders widened from 65,017 to 65,316.
