ICICI, Reliance rose their bet in SBI | Jun’20 qtr

State Bank of India, commonly known as SBI, is one of the most prominent financial and bank services in India under the public sector. From the quarter of March 2020 to that of June 2020, the holdings through promoters up-stepped from 57.63% to 57.64%, and that through the public down-stepped from 42.37% to 42.36%. Other changes in the public shareholding pattern of the two quarters (Mar’20 and Jun’20) are as follows :

Increase in shareholding % – RELIANCE CAPITAL TRUSTEE CO. LTD-A/C NIPPON INDIA upgraded the value from 1.54% to 1.57%. HDFC TRUSTEE COMPANY LTD. A/C HDFC TOP 100 FUND extended the part from 3.66% to 3.72%. ICICI PRUDENTIAL VALUE FUND grew the bet from 1.18% to 1.26%. Venture Capital Funds up-stepped from 0.01% to 0.02%. Financial Institutions/ Banks grew the stakes from 0.07% to 0.08%. Insurance Companies magnified their holdings from 10.59% to 11.27%. LIFE INSURANCE CORPORATION OF INDIA P&GS FUND went from 9.24% to 9.98%. Central Government/ State Government(s)/ President of India upgraded their part from 0.11% to 0.20%. Number of shareholders with Individual share capital up to Rs. 2 Lacs enlarged from 24,11,386 to 28,27,766; the holdings rose from 5.72% to 7.09%. Bodies Corporate stretched the value from 0.69% to 0.78%. Non-Resident Indians (NRI) incremented the bet from 0.14% to 0.21%. Trusts lifted the percentage from 0.89% to 0.96%.

Decrease in shareholding % – Mutual Funds reduce the overall stakes from 13.62% to 13.18%. Alternate Investment Funds reported a decrease in the holdings from 0.27% to 0.15%. Foreign Portfolio Investors appeared with a reduction from 9.59% to 7.91%. The investments of Individuals with share capital in excess of Rs. 2 Lacs lowered from 0.29% to 0.22%. Clearing Members lessened the part from 0.28% to 0.19%.

Unaltered shareholding % in both the quarters – SBI-ETF SENSEX at 2.86%; and NBFCs registered with RBI at 0.00%.

GOVERNMENT OF SINGAPORE might have exited or dipped below 1.00% in Jun’20, it was at 1.16% in Mar’20. The total number of shareholders widened from 24,46,098 to 28,65,832.
