ICICI Prudential lowered value to 3.23% in Sun Pharma | Jun’20 qtr

Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Limited is into the manufacturing and selling process of various active pharmaceutical components and drugs. In both the quarters of Mar’20 and Jun’20, the %holdings through the promoters and the public were at 54.69% to 45.31% respectively. The differences in the public shareholding patterns of the two quarters, are as follows:

Increase in shareholding % – Reliance Capital Trustee Co Ltd A/C Nippon India Pharma Fund and various Fund Accounts increased the bet from 1.29% to 1.48%. SBI-ETF Nifty 50 and various Fund Accounts grew the parts from 1.06% to 1.57%. Financial Institutions/ Banks upgraded from 0.83% to 0.84%. Insurance Companies incremented the bet from 7.71% to 8.54%. Life Insurance Corporation of India and its various Funds rose their holdings from 6.37% to 6.56%.

Decrease in shareholding % – Mutual Funds decremented the stakes from 10.77% to 10.52%. ICICI Prudential Value Discovery Fund and various Fund Accounts reduced the value from 3.46% to 3.23%. Alternate Investment Funds appeared with a decrease from 0.08% to 0.04%. Foreign Portfolio Investors reported a reduction from 12.81% to 12.70%. Individuals with share capital up to Rs. 2 Lacs increased in number from 5,98,230 to 6,20,338 and the value lowered from 6.23% to 6.12%. Individuals having share capital in excess than Rs. 2 Lacs lessened the bet from 1.47% to 1.33%. HUF went from 0.22% to 0.21%. Bodies Corporate shrunk from 3.63% to 3.51%. Clearing Members halved the value from 0.12% to 0.06%.

Unaltered shareholding % – Foreign Bank at 0.00%; UTI and its Schemes and Funds at 0.17%; Central Government/ State Government(s)/ President of India at 0.00%; IEPF at 0.05%; Trusts at 0.71%; Non-Resident Indians (NRI) at 0.40%; Director or Director’s Relatives at 0.11%; Lakshdeep Investments & Finance (P) Ltd at 1.31%.

HDFC Trustee Company Ltd. A/C HDFC Balanced Advantage Fund and various Fund Accounts might have exited the pattern or dipped below 1.00% in June quarter; they were at 1.01% in the March quarter.

The total number of public shareholders stretched from 6,31,205 to 6,53,345.
