ICICI prudential fund rose to 2.76% in Blue Star | Mar’20 qtr

Blue Star Limited is one of the largest manufacturers and marketers of air conditioners in India. Public and promoters’ holdings were stable at 61.124% and 38.76% respectively, in both the quarters of December 2019 and March 2020. Differences in the public shareholding patterns for both the mentioned quarters, are as follows:

Increase in shareholding % – The stakes through the Mutual Funds grew from 18.81% to 20.94%. ICICI Prudential Long Term Equity Fund Tax Savings grew the value from 2.38% to 2.76%. Franklin India Smaller Companies Fund incremented the holdings from 1.30% to 1.96%. Alternate Investment Funds reported an enhancement in percentage from 1.24% to 1.28%. Individuals with share capital in excess of Rs. 2 Lacs incremented their bet from 6.42% to 6.57%. HUF up-stepped from 0.36% to 0.37%. Clearing Members improved from 0.04% to 0.06%.

Decrease in shareholding % – SBI Focused Equity Fund deducted their parts from 4.35% to 4.06%. Sundaram Mutual Fund A/C Sundaram Mid Cap Fund down-stepped with its bet from 2.22% to 2.20%. Uti-Mastershare Unit Scheme lowered the value from 1.25% to 1.23%. Foreign Portfolio Investors appeared with a reduction in holding from 10.59% to 8.80%. First State Indian Subcontinent Fund contracted the stakes from 1.57% to 1.43%. The Scottish Oriental Smaller Companies Trustplc lessened the parts in the company from 1.29% to 1.20%. The Insurance Companies shrunk the holdings from 0.67% to 0.61%. The number of shareholders with Individual share capital up to Rs. 2 Lacs soared up from 44,248 to 47,410 and the investments sunk from 19.67% to 19.38%. Non-Resident Indians (NRI) decreased the stakes from 1.87% to 1.75%. Bodies Corporate reduced the bet from 1.06% to 1.00%.

Unaltered shareholdings % – HDFC Trustee Company Ltd – A/C HDFC Mid – Cap opportunities Fund at 4.66%, T. Rowe Price International Discovery Fund at 2.44%, Financial Institutions/ Banks at 0.02%, Central Government/ State Government(s)/ President of India at 0.00, NBFCs registered with RBI at 0.00%, IEPF at 0.38%, Trusts at 0.01%, and Director or Director’s Relatives at 0.09% had unaltered holdings in Mar’20 quarter.

Axis Mutual Fund Trustee Limited A/C Axis Mutual Fund A/C Axis Small Cap Fund and Kotak Small Cap Fund might have entered in March’20 pattern or have heightened above 1.00%, at about 1.39% and 1.16% respectively. First State Investments Icvc- Stewart Investors Asia Pacific Fund might have dipped below 1.00% or exited the pattern in March quarter; it was at 1.17% in the former quarter. The public shareholders grew from 48,500 to 51,847.
