The well-known public sector bank, State Bank of India, caters to various financial services to the Indian citizens. The bank had 57.68% of the total holdings through the promoters and 42.32% through the public, in the quarter of December 2019 and in that of March 2020– the promoters were at 57.63% and the public was at 42.37%. Increase in shareholding % – HDFC TRUSTEE COMPANY LTD. A/C HDFC TOP 100 FUND incremented the stakes 3.49% to 3.66%. SBI-ETF NIFTY BANK grew the parts from 2.34% to 2.86%. Alternate Investment Funds reported a rise from 0.14% to 0.27%. Financial Institutions/ Banks upgraded the holdings from 0.05% to 0.07%. Insurance Companies up-stepped the investments from 10.55% to 10.59%. Central Government/ State Government(s)/ President of India extended the parts from 0.05% to 0.11%. The shareholders having Individual share capital up to Rs. 2 Lacs, enlarged in number from 18,22,665 to 24,11,386 and the holdings widened from 4.91% to 5.72%. Individuals having share capital in excess of Rs. 2 Lacs, stretched the bet from 0.23% to 0.29%. Bodies Corporate rose the stakes from 0.57% to 0.69%. Non-Resident Indians (NRI) up-trended from 0.12% to 0.14%. Trusts went from 0.80% to 0.89%. Clearing Members soared the values from 0.05% to 0.28%. Foreign Bodies upgraded from 0.01% of the holding to 0.02%.
Decrease in shareholding % – Mutual Funds reduced the parts from 13.75% to 13.62%. RELIANCE CAPITAL TRUSTEE CO. LTD-A/C NIPPON INDIA lowered the bet from 1.75% to 1.54%. ICICI PRUDENTIAL VALUE FUND decremented the values from 1.59% to 1.18%. Foreign Portfolio Investors appeared with a decrease from 10.98% to 9.59%. LIFE INSURANCE CORPORATION OF INDIA P&GS FUND down-stepped the stake from 9.25% to 9.24%.
Identical shareholding % in both the quarters – Venture Capital Funds at 0.01%, GOVERNMENT OF SINGAPORE at 1.16%, NBFCs registered with RBI at 0.00%, Non-Resident Non Repatriates at 0.08%, and Overseas Corporate Bodies at 0.00%.
The number of public shareholders magnified from 18,54,429 to 24,46,098.
