Franklin India lowered the bet to 3.65% in ACC Cement | June’20 qtr

The cement manufacturing company, ACC Limited, ranks among the top companies in the industry. In both the quarters of March 2020 and June 2020, the company had 54.53% holding through the promoters and 45.47% through the public shareholders. The changes in the public shareholding pattern of the two quarters, are as follows:

Increase in shareholding % – Alternate Investment Funds reported an upgrade from 0.26% to 0.27%. Foreign Portfolio Investors appeared with a growth from 7.79% to 8.14%. The holdings through the Trusts grew from 2.66% to 2.70%. NPS TRUST A/C SBI PENSION FUND SCHEME upgraded the parts from 1.76% to 1.79%. Bodies Corporate expanded their bet from 1.96% to 4.60%.

Decrease in shareholding % – Mutual Funds lowered the stakes from 12.14% to 11.67%. ADITYA BIRLA SUN LIFE TRUSTEE PRIVATE LIMITED reduced the parts from 2.29% to 2.01%. FRANKLIN INDIA BLUECHIP FUND decremented the value from 3.78% to 3.65%. Financial Institutions/ Banks down-stepped the holdings from 6.38% to 6.34%. Insurance Companies minimized the percentage from 2.16% to 0.00%. The investments through Individuals with share capital up to Rs. 2 Lacs decreased from 9.30% to 9.07%. Similarly, for Individuals with share capital in excess of Rs. 2 Lacs, the value went from 1.25% to 1.18%. ICICI PRUDENTIAL LIFE INSURANCE COMPANY LIMITED reduced the bet from 1.24% to 1.15%. Non-Resident Indians (NRI) shrunk the parts from 0.48% to 0.46%. Clearing Members contracted the holdings from 0.48% to 0.16%.

Identical shareholding % in both the quarters – LIFE INSURANCE CORPORATION OF INDIA at 5.19%, MIGUEL STUART ESCOBEDO Y FULDA at 0.10%, Central Government/ State Government(s)/ President of India at 0.15%, NBFCs registered with RBI at 0.00%, and IEPF at 0.61%.

ICICI PRUDENTIAL S&P BSE ETF might have entered as a new shareholder or have widened above 1.00% to appear at 1.06% in June’20 quarter. The number of public shareholders extended from 1,09,194 to 1,10,576.
