Banks, SBI Focused Equity Fund Increase holding in P & G in March 2020 Qtr.

Procter and Gamble Hygiene and Health Care Ltd. is a manufacturer and seller of FMCG – specialized towards healthcare. 70.64% of the shares are under the promoter and promoter group, while 29.36% are under the public category. The increased and decreased stake trends for December 2019 quarter and March 2020 quarter are as follows-

Increase in public shareholding % – The total Mutual Funds grew from 4.88% to 5.34%. SBI Focused Equity Fund was holding 2.52% in December which extended to 2.97%. Financial Institutions / Banks‘ stake increased from 4.04% to 4.23%. Life Insurance Corporation Of India‘s holdings grew from 4.01% to 4.20%. Insurance Companies stepped up from 3.21% to 3.25%. Non-Resident Indian (NRI)‘s percentage rose to 0.52% from 0.50%.

Decrease in public shareholding % – Foreign Portfolio Investors dipped to 2.79% from 3.32%. The no. of shareholders with Individual share capital upto Rs. 2 Lacs enlarged to 33,166 from 31,114, while their collective stake lowered from 10.40% to 10.33%. The no. of shareholders with Individual share capital in excess of Rs. 2 Lacs stepped down from 8 to 7; also the holdings reduced from 0.78% to 0.73%. Bodies Corporate dropped to 1.74% from 1.79%.

Identical (unchanged) public shareholding % – Alternate Investment Funds (0.04%), General Insurance Corporation Of India (1.62%), Central Government/ State Government(s)/ President of India (0.03%), NBFCs registered with RBI (0.00%), Employee Trusts (0.00%), IEPF (0.05%), Trusts (0.00%), Foreign Nationals (0.00%), HUF (0.25%), Clearing Members (0.01%) and Director or Director’s Relatives (0.05%) have identical stakes as in December 2019 quarter.

Majority of the Procter and Gamble Hygiene and Health Care Ltd.’s shares are under the promoter and promoter group, and these patterns do not display much of varying trends, in fact, they are completely unaltered in December 2019 and March 2020 quarters. The no. of public shareholders expanded from 33,923 to 36,167 in March 2020 quarter.
