Bajaj Group’s consumer care industry provides various skincare and healthcare products to a wide range of consumers in the country. In both the quarters (March 2020 and June 2020), the company had 38.04% through the promoters and 61.69% through the public category shareholders. Differences in the public shareholding patterns of the two quarters, are as follows:
Increase in shareholding % – Financial Institutions/ Banks up-stepped the bet from 0.04% to 0.06%. The number of shareholders with Individual share capital up to Rs. 2 Lacs grew from 43,132 to 60,211 and the values incremented from 7.09% to 11.29%. Individuals with share capital in excess of Rs. 2 Lacs increased the parts from 0.33% to 0.90%. Non-Resident Indians rose the bet from 0.55% to 0.96%. Bodies Corporate extended the stakes from 1.83% to 1.92%.
Decrease in shareholding % – Mutual Funds lowered the parts from 21.33% to 18.20%. Alternate Investment Funds down-stepped the bet from 0.16% to 0.13%. Foreign Portfolio Investors reduced the takes from 28.09% to 25.81%. Clearing Members went from 0.26% to 0.25%. Qualified Institutional Buyers decremented the stakes from 1.72% to 1.65%.
Unaltered shareholding % – Central Government/ State Government(s)/ President of India at 0.00%; NBFCs registered with RBI 0.00%; and ICICI LOMBARD GENERAL INSURANCE COMPANY LTD at 1.40%.
Shareholders with Mar’20 holdings, which might have dipped below 1.00% in June’20 quarter – ICICI PRUDENTIAL EQUITY SAVINGS FUND at 3.94%; HDFC TRUSTEE COMPANY LTD A/C HDFC CAPITAL BUILDER VALUE FUND at 1.23%; RELIANCE CAPITAL TRUSTEE CO LTD. A/C RELIANCE VALUE FUND at 2.06%; LLOYD GEORGE INVESTMENT COMPANY PUBLIC LIMITED at 1.29%; MATTHEWS INDIA FUND at 3.37%; GOLDMAN SACHS INDIA LIMITED at 1.37%; STEINBERG INDIA EMERGING OPPORTUNITIES FUND LIMITED at 1.40%; SAIF INDIA V FII HOLDINGS LIMITED at 1.68%.
The number of public shareholders widened from 45,218 to 63,303.
